ww7  2013

Ten reflections on a purely taste oriented approach to sound- I tried to avoid the elements of melody, harmony, and rhythm (though there are many instances where I couldn't help myself). Instead the focus was on form and a kind of basal sense of aesthetic "counterpoint," the question was: "How much do I like these sounds together?"

Crafted from manipulated field recording, plunderphonics, soft synths, and internal distortion- these pieces attempt to pick at the question of distinction between sound and music, most falling clearly on one or the other side of the divide but hopefully some landing in a place of ambiguity.

And many thanks to Irina Steinbrecher  for the remarkable photograph on this album, I only hope I've done it justice.
